About Us

Restoration Counseling is a private counseling practice in Amarillo, TX, offering trauma-informed counseling for individuals (adolescents and adults) and couples, including marriage and premarital work. We help clients manage anxiety, life transitions, heal emotional wounds, and address grief, depression, and chronic health challenges. Grounded in a relational, whole-person approach, the practice emphasizes nervous system regulation through mindfulness, grounding techniques, vagal regulation, attachment-informed work, and cognitive-behavioral strategies. Our goal is emotional safety, self-understanding, and lasting internal healing to support resilient, balanced living in relationships and daily life.

Our Approach

Meaningful change begins with felt safety. Our work starts by helping the nervous system feel more supported through mindfulness, grounding, and gentle regulation practices. At Restoration Counseling, we blend compassionate, relational care with thoughtful, research-informed tools to help clients loosen unhelpful patterns and build healthier relationships—with themselves and others. We integrate mindfulness, grounding, attachment-informed work, and CBT to support steady, lasting growth across adolescence and adulthood, individual therapy, and couples work.

How We Work

We draw from mindfulness-based practices, grounding techniques, attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and somatic approaches to support nervous system regulation, reduce anxiety, and foster relational healing. These methods are integrated thoughtfully and tailored to each client to support lasting internal change and healthier patterns of connection.
